He has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts. āFor behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy. āYou will show faithfulness to Jacob and steadfast love to Abraham, as you have sworn to our ancestors from the days of old.ā (Micah 7:20)
As he spoke to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever. āBlessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has looked favorably on his people and redeemed them. He has raised up a mighty savior for us in the house of his servant David, as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old, that we would be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us.ā (Luke 1:68, 72-73)
Like Mary, may we each magnify the Lord and rejoice in our Savior. May we have faith that the Father is able to do great and blessed things in our own lives.
